Heriaeus setiger  (O. P.-Cambridge, 1872)


Ventral Tibialapophysis finger-shaped, apical part sharply inclined. Tip of embolus stout. Prosoma length: 1.7-2.5 mm, Prosomabreite: 1.5-2.2 mm. Body colouration white, yellowish brown or green.

Body length male: 3.5-5.6 mm

Epigyne protruding, hood-shaped. Copulatory openings sclerotized, situated near epigastric furrow. Prosoma length: 2.5-3.7 mm, Prosoma width: 2.1-3.3 mm.

Body length female: 5-9.2 mm
Additional information

Distribution: The only record of this species from Ukraine (Freiberg [Фрейберг], 1897 from modern Dnipropetrovsk Area) is mentioned in the Catalogue of spiders of the former USSR (Mikhailov, 1997) as doubtful. Freiberg’s collection is lost, and the occurrence of H. setiger in Ukraine has not been proved by later studies.
